We all have work to do. As Ram Dass said, “All I can do is work on myself. All you can do is work on yourself.” If we want to get to the root of our pain so as to transcend it, we must cultivate self acceptance, self awareness and master the skills that allow us to do so. Resting in solitude, being able to speak openly and honestly, learning from those who have done what we are trying to do all help. Again, we all have work to do, and that’s part of what makes life so fun: learning about the self! Have a listen to this week’s episode of #themindmatepodcast on all platforms as well as YouTube (for the full video!).

Your girl is struggling. All the positive quotes in the world aren’t bringing me out of this one. But I won’t let it beat me. With the amount of hatred, violence, sickness, and death that’s surrounding us, I feel like I’m suffocating. Anxiety can do that to you. You don’t have to have an Anxiety condition to feel the effects of this massive problem that our nation is facing and if you do have a condition it’s almost unbearable. . . . . Mental health is something that I’m not hearing a lot about right now, but let’s not forget the importance. You’re not alone. Take care of yourself. . . . . #hope #hopeful #prayer #prayfortheworld #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #stoptheviolence #keeppushing #anxietyawareness #anxietysupport #anxietyproblems #anxietysolutions

Today marks the last official day of mental health awareness month, but that doesn’t mean we need to stop raising awareness! Every day, we can share our stories and continue the conversation around mental health. Every day, we can get closer to breaking the stigma, and mental health can be talked about as regularly as physical health. Every day, we can come together as a community and shine light on mental health. We can try to break the silence, normalize talking about our feelings and struggles, and remind others that they do not have to go through this alone! Registrants for moving for mental health will receive a personal fundraising page, where they can share their story and raise funds for Mental Health Research Canada (MHRC.ca) On July 19th we will move. We will move for mental health awareness, mental health research, and our own mental health. You can run, walk, jog, skip, roll, whatever feels right for you. Let’s do this together! If you haven’t already registered, you can do so through the link in our bio. There are only 13 complimentary event t-shirts left!!

I’m into results, solutions, facts and problem solving. If I’m invested into a cause, anyone whom ever been in my presence know I will help/ join whatever... After I put out all I’ve gathered fact especially, experienced opinion and common sense that can help; I’m content and the rest is up to those who can do what they can further resolve. Maybe I’d a been a lawyer if the system and their gang didn’t rob me of a chance of a “regular” life 🤔 nah I was born with an obsession to fashion and music with politics as my first crush 🤦🏽‍♀️ Anyway while it’s a crazy time in history. Make sure you take time to check in with your emotions and rejuvenate 🧘🏽‍♀️ Surround yourself with love and healthy food before you get up to fight, serve or just show up. We’re all on a tightrope wether we all realize it or not. Stay balanced 🙏🏽💌 # quoteLS

On this episode of the Anxiety WOD podcast I discuss how bullying pushed me away from the creative side of myself. Listening to others opinions more so than listening to my gut sent me off on a dark journey of self discovery and self destruction. Once I was able to crank up the volume of that internal voice, I found peace again. I share a wonderful quote from my very wise mother that I just love. (both her and the quote)
Then I go over that areas of focus to learn who you really are:
1. Values
2. Beliefs
3. Talents
4. Skills
5. Passions
Were those all intersect ends up becoming an arrow that points you towards your life's purpose. And finally I go over why recovery is so important when it comes to working out and exercise, especially as you get older. Keep an eye out for a new name to our show! Enjoy! —————————————— 🔹You can submit anonymous questions on anxietywod.com (link in bio) I am the only one that will read them if you’re worried about that part. 🔹 🔹 🔹 🔹 🔹 🔹 #inspiration #peace #mentalillness #anxietyfacts #anxietyquotes #health #fitness #breath #crossfitgames #happy #ptsd #panicattacks #panicattack #meditation #positivemind #nutrition #positivity #anxietyproblems #crossfitter #anxietydisorder #depression #coaching #fear #crossfit #anxiety #crossfitwod #mentalhealth

Can I be real with you for a minute? . . . . . I spent much of yesterday numbing out. I was avoiding feeling every emotion under the sun. There is so much fear, anxiety, anger, sadness... Rather than working through it and recognizing that it was there... I numbed it. I stayed in bed late. I binged on hulu and spent way too much time on tiktok. I didn't eat until after 3 pm and I didn't touch my laundry. Look, even as a professional, I still have bad moments! There are times I fall off the deep end and I have the skills to recognize when this happens and when I begin to numb out. And guess what, by the end of the day I recognized that I needed some sun. I needed some yoga to move through the emotions. I needed to journal. I needed to connect with that which is greater. And I did just that. And with each activity I felt the pressure on my chest lift little by little. 2020 is not what any of us expected. And I won't pretend like shit is okay because it's not. But I will take time to recollect myself, practice my self-care, and refrain from looking at my phone too much because I see the impact it has on my wellbeing. It is because of these choices that I will be able to act and engage with clarity. If you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious with everything around you. You're not alone. The internet is crazy right now and there is no avoiding what is happening in our world right now. If this you, give me a thumbs up 👍 for tips on how to cope and find clarity.

This feels like a week in which everyone needs some emotional space to take a breather. I’m a big believer in micro moments of self-care to restore, rejuvenate and reenergize. Did you know a hard blink is one way in which your body resets itself? You don’t have to bend into a pretzel to reset. You can just take a moment to repeat a truth about yourself that has escaped you. Can you find one now? #mentalhealthrecovery #mentalhealthawareness #positivevibes #emotionalhealth #petty #anxietyproblems #selfcare #selfcaretips #covid19 #trauma #wellbeing #wellness #routine #emotionalhealth #anxietyrecovery #selfcare #selfcaretips #depression #confidence #anxiety #quotestoliveby #ptsd #affirmations

It’s the last day of May. So this is the last day you will see my daily content dedicated solely to spreading Lupus Awareness. I hope you’ve learned a few things and shared what you’ve enjoyed. I may not dedicate every day to lupus Awareness from here on out, but it’s always on the forefront of my mind. As is awareness for all the other conditions I struggle with. I have spent many years researching and studying: 1. Why are some children resilient and confident but others are not? What holds some children back from being the full power of who they are? 2. Is it really possible to build resilience and confidence in a child? 3. And if so, how can we do this? I discovered: YES every child has the capacity to be confident; YES we can actually build a child’s confidence; AND ...there is a wrong way and a right way to do it. In this free webinar you will learn the best ways to do this.
