Day 20: Welcome to the Parker Family Homeschool. I feel so equipped for this homeschool mom way of life...APRIL FOOL'S! Joke’s totally on me. Did you know, that my whole life up until my third year of college I planned to be an elementary school teacher?! (With a diversion to college in Nashville my freshman year, partially in the hope to be come a singer, and a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria where I majored in "traveling, eating nutella and croissants, and living my best life"). It's baffling to me now that teaching elementary school was ever part of my plan! The truth is, I volunteered about 3 days in kindergarten and substitute taught 2nd Grade one afternoon at a private school and that was enough to show me I WAS NOT MADE FOR THIS. Anyway, we just got emails yesterday that our district is moving to distance learning beginning April 13th and I am both relieved and terrified. Anyone else have feelings about this? Anyone else wonder if this is most April Foolsiest Day (year) of all time?? 😂😭
Judah: Living in his Harry Potter PJ's
Ezra: Dressed to impress every day (he puts on his outfit for the next day after we tuck him in at night)
Josh: The only one actually working an actual work day (from home). And giggling in between conference calls at the Tiger King memes I am sending him and at my "content creating" and photo sessions I'm orchestrating for the gram.
Me: Declared Wednesday's "Wacky Wednesday" on WEEK ONE of quarantine, meaning there is (mostly) unlimited screen time and very little structure and I've never thought of anything more brilliant in my life. Please don't take this away from me, school district! 😵😱
