A little self-love check in. I’ve been really torn the last few days. But I’ve realized that my platform has always been about self-care, self-love, mental health, self-awareness and empowerment. I know many of you look forward to my posts every day and find a lot of guidance from my account. So I wanted to share a reflective post for everyone today. Scan your mind, scan your body. What are ways you can show yourself love? What areas do you need to take time for? Do you need a little break, time to recharge? Remember that you have to take time to for yourself to heal, to unwind, and to realign.

Colapso o crisis emocional😩🌩 Estamos rodeados de una cultura donde mostrar que eres "buen chico" o "buena chica", se ve recompensado con éxito y reconocimiento ante los demás. Esta visión distorcionada puede llevar no sólo a niveles altos de estrés, sino también a la complacencia ajena, a guardar lo que tenemos dentro. Cuando esa falsa identidad donde existe autocontrol y resistencia a todo lo que venga, sobreponiendo el positivismo sin validar lo que sientes, te lleva a lo que llamamos "catarsis emocional", en el que punto de quiebre, te lleva al desequilibrio. Observar lo que nos hace llegar a ese punto, nos invita a darnos cuenta que quizá era mucho el tiempo que llevábamos aguantando, evitando los sentimientos y emociones por el miedo a la VULNERABILIDAD. La clave para aprender a reconocer cuando ya estamos ahí, es reflexionar que ese punto ha llegado para tomar una decisión, casi siempre, con un cambio que nos beneficie principalmente a nosotros, con una visión realista de lo que es ser una persona "Madura". Evitar el miedo a sufrir, permitirnos experimentar la incomodidad, expresar lo que sentimos y sentirse vulnerable, forma parte de ser maduro con alta inteligencia emocional para gestionar lo que sientes. La vida no es sólo blanco y negro, existe toda gama de colores y de emociones que por incómodas que sean, hay que permitirnos vivirlas. some of the things we can all be doing to support our poc brothers and sisters. posting on social media is all well and good, but we need to be more proactive offline. for example, there were over 22m black put tuesday posts, yet there less than 12m signitures on the george floyd petition. it does not make sense! i emphasise that we MUST learn. it is imperative that we educate ourselves and one another on racism and white privilege. fight back against racism and continue to fight until justice is sought. the second slide is a detailed collection of resources that i think are extremely useful. please take note, as i am, and be the change.📢
