Well folks... that’s all she wrote! I just received my “demobilization”’email. Meaning I’m coming home! The need in NYC has thankfully lessened and is continuing to lessen, we are not needed anymore. Awesome news!
Tomorrow I am hitting the road and making my way back south...but man o man New York will always keep a piece of my ❤️. So thankful for my awesome company #krucialstaffing! So thankful for the opportunity to have helped lessen the staffing burden in the hardest hit part of the country.
Since April 1st... when my mom and I were making our hundreds of calls to “answer that call,” every day has been full of unknowns. 57 full days of unknowns since then!!! Unknown of the virus, unknown of hotel living, unknown of the “rules,” unknown of the PPE situation, unknown of the hospital I would be at, unknown of which area I would work in (4 total), unknowns of adult care, unknown of what shift I would be, unknown of the schedule, unknown of when I would be leaving, unknowns of getting around, unknowns of quarantining, etc etc. And any given day any of that could and would change. For me, unknowns have always given me high anxiety and fear... but I still made it!
I still have no idea what the future will bring but that doesn’t bother me like it once would have. Have faith, live life, love your people! Thanks for tuning in during my adventure! ✌🏼 #missionaccomplished
